
Colorado River Terrestrial and Riparian (CRTR) 2010 Meeting
The Colorado River Terrestrial and Riparian Group (CRTR) is sponsored by the Lower Colorado Multi-Species Conservation Program (LCR MSCP) to facilitate communication and the sharing of information for individuals or groups working with native restoration and natural resources monitoring and research related to the Lower Colorado River Watershed. CRTR holds an annual meeting which invites participation from any groups or individuals working on such projects.

Cost: Attendance is free to all
Lodging: Lodging is to be provided by each attendee. No group rate is set up at any one hotel. Lodging rates in Laughlin are reasonable ($30 or less), and a group rate is not necessary.

Workshop: On Feb 4th and 5th, a workshop on "Sampling Large Landscapes" will be conducted to briefly demonstrate a suite of tools for estimating population size and density, and for exploring habitat relationships. The tools were developed during the past decade, first in the Arctic and more recently in the southwestern United States. They include an ArcView extension used to delineate plots and assign them to clusters and strata and select plots to survey; description of double sampling an “umbrella” survey method; a comprehensive program to analyze the survey data; and a database for long term storage of the data. All the programs and services are available free of charge.
